FRATERNITY AND SORORITY COUNCILS

Each of the organizations within the TCU fraternity and sorority community is housed within one of five governing councils. The councils are governed by elected student leaders and are responsible for providing programming and other opportunities for the community.

INDEPENDENT GREEK COUNCIL (IGC)

The purpose of the IGC is to serve as a resource for its member organizations and to promote and foster positive fraternal relations, communication, and development of all fraternal organizations through mutual respect, leadership, honesty, professionalism, and education.

INTERFRATERNITY COUNClL (IFC)

IFC's mission is to promote the development of gentlemen through scholarship, service, and leadership, in the bond of brotherhood in concordance with the values of the University.

MULTICULTURAL GREEK COUNCIL (MGC)

The Multicultural Greek Council (MGC) is a governing council for a coalition of Multicultural Greek-letter organizations (MGLOs) established in 1998, with the mission of promoting multiculturalism by advocating for justice and equity, cultivating interfraternal relationships, and empowering its member organizations.

NATIONAL PAN-HELLENIC COUNCIL (NPHC)

The National Pan-Hellenic Council, referred to as “the Divine Nine”, was formed on May 10th, 1930 at Howard University, in Washington DC, and houses the nine historically African-American, black Greek-lettered organizations, which were founded on scholarship, community service and brotherhood/sisterhood. Texas Christian University is home to six of these organizations.

PANHELLENIC COUNCIL (NPC)

NPC shall be organized in recognition of the need to serve the community to the best of our ability. NPC is based on scholarship, sisterhood, leadership and service in all that we do.
